Reports from the B Town indicate that after splitting up with Katrina Kaif, Salman is out to pull the plug of his influence from her career.
Sources have said that Kat wanted to star in the upcoming flick ‘Dabangg’ as an item girl in the street-smart number ‘Munni Budnaam Hui’. But the appearance was instead passed on to Malaika Arora Khan, Salman’s sister-in-law.
“We actually thought of someone else for this song but eventually decided that Malaika would be the best,” Salman told us, not revealing who the ‘someone’ was.
In fact, as soon as the video of ‘Dabangg’ released, there was a fresh controversy as Salman and Malaika are seen dancing suggestively in it. But that is acting, of course.
Not just that, Salman did not propose Katrina’s name for lead in his ‘Dabanggg.’ That role went to Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha.
The two were seen in close company on the sets of film- and not just acting as per the script.
“Salman is a wonderful painter. Whenever he found himself free he started painting and I used to go and join him,” Sonakshi told a daily. It didn’t end there.
“Salman used to give me a theme and I used to paint accordingly, and when we see the final output, we used to find both the painting same. I never copied him but I think our style of painting is the same,” said the debutant actress.
However, what happened with Katrina is just a temporary act is not for sure. The lady was set to play the lead in the under-production film The Italian Job, being directed by Abbas-Mustan.
But all of a sudden, producer Aditya Chopra changed his mind and it might go in favour of Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha.

Sridevi was the showstopper for the show that marked Lulla’s 25th anniversary and she was visibly nervous while sashaying the ramp in the silver-grey gown. She fluffed twice but maintained her composure and completed her ramp walk without tripping.
Asked about Sridevi’s nervousness, Lulla said: “As far as I think, it happens sometimes when you walk the ramp after a long time.”
However, Lulla didn’t make a big deal out of it and said she was very happy that Sridevi walked the ramp for her.
“It was fantastic that on my 25th anniversary Sridevi walked the ramp and so many people actually made it to the show,” she said.

Abhinav Kashyap’s ‘Dabangg’ is a fitting ode to seventies and eighties cinema. It is a complete family entertainer, which is replete with dance, drama, comedy, action and emotions. Starring Bollywood’s eternal bachelor Salman Khan along with a hoard of B-town stars – Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood and debutant actress Sonakshi Sinha, ‘Dabangg’ is the kind of film which instantly reminds you of Manmohan Desai, Ramesh Sippy and Prakash Mehra school of filmmaking.
In ‘Dabangg’, Salman Khan plays Chulbul Pandey aka Robinhood Pandey – a policeman in the hinterlands of UP. A tough cop, Chulbul is a nightmare for criminals. The opening scene of the film shows Chulbul bashing a gang of thugs and taking away the loot for himself.
Chulbul’s father – Prajapati is played by veteran actor Vinod Khanna and mother none other than the eighties icon Dimple Kapadia. Arbaaz plays Chulbul’s dim-witted brother Makkhi and Sonu Sood plays a local politician Chhedi Singh. The film is replete with country wit and local humour.
If Salman plays the inimitable cop, Sonu reprises the baddie to the hilt. For instance, take one of the scenes where Chhedi Singh bashes his man for calling him the biggest goon and says, “Hum bachpan se hero banna chahte hain. Aur yeh hamein villain bana raha hai”.

We hear that Kunal`s words have also reached Priyanka`s ears and she was quite taken aback.”
“Kunal isn`t ready to understand that Priyanka is neck deep into work. From finishing Vishal Bhardwaj`s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ to Farhan Akhtar`s ‘Don 2’, Abbas Mustan`s ‘Race 2’, ‘The Italian Job’ and several other film offers, Priyanka has no breathing space. Along with all this, she is also doing ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and many endorsements. Vishal wanted to cast her again but she is facing date issues with him too. Actress Priyanka Chopra had a ride on the fast lane she won’t easily forget while hosting Colors’ adventure reality show ‘Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi’, courtesy a Formula 2 racer. Formula 2 racer Arman Ibrahim, one of the contestants on the show, had an edge over others to impress the former Miss World during a stunt shot on a race course in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 21-year-old decided to show off his skills behind the wheel and took daredevil Priyanka for a drive on the racing track.
‘Taking Priyanka for a drive was an absolutely awesome experience. The race track is often the loneliest place - just you and your car. But having such a gorgeous woman by your side and a great set of wheels at the track was exciting,’ Armaan said in a statement.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is set to return to television with a culinary show called ‘Amul MasterChef India’. Akshay’s love for cooking is well-known and now the actor is all set to host and judge ‘Amul MasterChef India’ that will be aired on Star Plus starting Oct 16.
‘I am very happy to be returning to my roots after so many years. My two favourites - cooking and camera/entertainment are coming together and I am excited to be a part of it. ‘I have been following the international version of MasterChef regularly and I am glad that now this interesting challenge will be open to the Indian audience,’ the actor told reporters here.
The show that will have 12 contestants, will give a chance to passionate cooks to showcase their skills and will also groom them to become the ultimate professionals of the art. Recalling SRK’s admission from a recent event, my birdie from Bandra tells me that the actor was enthused by the strong buzz that his rival’s Dabangg is generating.
So much so that her revealed his children, Aryan and Suhana, were quite impressed by the promos of Chulbul Pandey and consequently, very keen to see the movie.
At another event, Salman didn’t throw a fit when he was asked whether there would be a screening of his movie for the not so-jaani-dushman now. Instead, he said that his brother Arbaaz was friendly with SRK and that bhabhi Malaika is a good saheli of Gauri’s.

Kiran Rao`s `Dhobi Ghat,` which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) here Friday night in the presence of the whole cast at the city`s Elgin Garden Theatres, wowed the audiences with its artistry and fluidity. Kiran Rao`s `Dhobi Ghat,` which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) here Friday night in the presence of the whole cast at the city`s Elgin Garden Theatres, wowed the audiences with its artistry and fluidity. The film is Kiran Rao`s directorial debut, with her husband Aamir Khan playing the lead role of a painter (Arun living in Bhendi Bazaar).

In my opinion, Hollywood stars are notorious for having a weird streak (some more than others). In Hollywood, saying strange things is actually encouraged as is the fondness for naming your child extremely un-tradtional names.

Most visitors say that you go so you say you can go — and to have a lot of laughs. Think of it as a chance to get your pictures taken with celebrities, but don’t be too disappointed if the wax likenesses look like you’ve caught them at their worst. (David Hasselhoff looks like he has jaundice.)
Some of the scenes are pretty cool — like the segment from The Exorcist — others border on the creepy. But since the hours extend till 1 am, and the airconditioning’s fantastic, it’s a quiet, relaxing way to end to a long and frenetic day of touring. Get a shared pass to the Guiness Book of Records museum across the street to get your money’s worth.

Steven Spielberg’s Dive! restaurant shows his quirky personality, being shaped like a yellow submarine. Peter Fonda chose to make his Thunder Roadhouse look like a biker joint (love those Harleys).
You can also try J. Lo’s restaurant, Madre’s, or Kevin Costner’s uber-exclusive Clubhouse. The 70’s Show cast also opened their own diner, thankfully free of any tacky upholstery — it serves traditional Italian, so there’s no lava lamp in sight.
