She’s spent all of her screen time in ‘Dabangg’ dressed traditionally. Now off-screen and post the movie’s box-office success, Sonakshi Sinha’s going in a different style direction. Check her out at the launch of My Salvatore Ferragamo store in Mumbai, and you’ll see what we’re talking about.

Simple chic once again, but that dress really should have been shorter and she is missing some statement accessories too. Plus we think she needs to start experimenting with her hair. Nothing spoils a hot outfit like blah hair. So we want change, Sonakshi!

Salman Khan Date of Birth: 27th December 1965

Actor Salman Khan made his acting debut in a supporting role in 1988's flop film Biwi Ho To Aisi. However, he became the nation's heartthrob after playing the lead in Maine Pyar Kiya.

One of the current superstars of Bollywood, Salman's acting career has been a mixed bag of hits and misses. He has, nevertheless, starred in some of the highest earning films in the history of Hindi cinema and has a massive fan base.

Salman's physique is inspirational for many, and he is famous for taking for taking his shirt off, in movies and during shows. In 2004, he made it to People magazine's list of the world's best looking men.

A lesser known fact about him is his charitable nature and his involvement with several causes. On the contrary, Salman is popular for his bad boy image off screen. From arrest warrants for hunting endangered black bucks in Rajasthan, to running over pavement dwellers in Mumbai, he has periodically courted trouble.

However, Salman's greatest controversies are his women. He was first linked to Sangeeta Bijlani, and was then involved with Somy Ali. But it was his relationship with Aishwarya Rai that made the most news with tales of him abusing her on set and the final break-up creating national headlines.

Salman is the son of writer Salim Khan and currently dating Katrina Kaif - according to Indian media reports.

Big B's all-new 'Power'ful look

He's back to being the action hero in his latest project

The one-time angry young man of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has changed his looks for his new project 'Power' in which he is playing an action role after a long time.

In the recent past, we have seen the 67-year-old megastar mostly in French beard, but in this Rajkumar Santoshi's all-star project he sports a subtle beard, a scarf around his neck and is looking better than ever.

Big B has started shooting for a full-fledged film project after a gap of two years and he is feeling the pinch.

"Starting a film after a gap of almost two years can be a disturbing factor. The offers were there, the makers were there as were the stories," Big B wrote on his blog bigb.bigadda.com.

"The intent was there as was the desire, but just somehow the time I guess was not there. And now when the time is there and the intent, many desires clear the way to start off again," he wrote.

Produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles.

Talking about the story, director Santoshi said: "I won’t disclose the story but it’s about the clash between the power of anger, lies and truth."

The director has roped in Hollywood action directors and stunt coordinators who have been a part of films like 'Spiderman' and the James Bond series.

Will Big B have Ash-Abhi and SRK as special guests too?

Amitabh Bachchan's coming back as the host of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', and he's bringing a bunch of star guests with him. It's confirmed now that Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham are among the B'wood players who'll be on the show. The episodes with Sanju and John have already been shot.

Now the question is will other members of the Bachchan family be on the show too? It would be fun to see Big B quiz Ash and Abhi.

But the bigger star attraction we think would be if former host Shah Rukh Khan were to come back on the show as a guest. Think Big B would give his okay to that? He's been saying that the channel decides which special guests appear on the show, but we think all Sr B would have to do is ask to get anyone he wants on the show.

Here’s a sneak peek at their Qawali number in ‘Tees Maar Khan’

We’re going ‘Walla Walla’ after watching Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar in their Qawali number for Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’. The song has Sallu and Akki in a pretend-fight over Kat (hmm…imagine that!).

The real question is – Were Salman and Katrina fighting during the shooting? Nothing of that sort it seems. Apparently the couple (or former couple) were fairly cordial to one another and had fun while shooting the song (thanks to buffers Akshay and Farah maybe).

While Salman and Akki were dressed in colourful vests, scarves and caps; Kat made for a rather sober picture, considering she plays an item girl in the movie.

Aishwarya's 'Endhiran' release postponed

The Aishwarya Rai-Rajnikant starrer 'Endhiran' will now release on October 1, instead of the original release date of September 24. Sun Pictures, who have produced the movie, announced the decision today (September 18).

The movie is believed to be Indian cinema's most expensive because of its special effects, and it's also been in the news for bringing together Aishwarya and Rajnikant for the first time.

'Endhiran', which is directed by Shankar, was originally supposed to release with 'Anjaana Anjaani' that stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. It was meant to be the next big release after Salman Khan's 'Dabangg'.

We wonder if 'Dabangg' doing so well at the box office has anything to do with postponing the release date of 'Endhiran'. After 'Raavan', Ash does need a hit badly, and this is one of the movies we think she'd counting on.

And she's thinking of directing a movie next

Her unconventional looks and frizzy hair landed her atypical roles in Bollywood. Kangana Ranaut now dreams of becoming a director and already has a script in mind.

"I'm quite happy with how my career is moving, but in terms of the future, soon, I guess I'd like to direct a movie. I have a script in mind. Let's see where it goes," Kangana said.

Most of her films have seen her in tragic roles; as a result she is often referred to as a modern day tragedy queen, a title once given to legendary actress Meena Kumari for playing grief-stricken characters.

"It's been quite a journey...I came to the industry when I was just 17 with no real idea of what to expect. I was fortunate that 'Gangster' was a huge hit at the box office. I won a lot of awards and the industry gave me another chance.

Akshay's Rs 1.7 million sherwani

After Malaika Arora Khan wore a bustier worth a million Euros, we've now got Akshay Kumar with an outfit that costs over a million rupees. Akki recently met the erstwhile ruler of Udaipur, Sriji Arvind Mewar, and he wore a sherwani worth Rs.1.7 million that his wife Twinkle had especially bought for the occasion.

Akshay, who is making a comeback on the small screen with the cookery show 'Master Chef India' on Star Plus, made a brief visit to Udaipur to meet the former ruler.

The diamond and pearl studded sherwani has been designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

The 43-year-old star was not only allowed to shoot the special episode in the palace, but also allowed to take his crew of 150 with him. As a special task, the contestants of 'Master Chef India' cooked for members of the royal family.

"Please call me Aishwarya"

it seems that Aishwarya Rai is tired of people calling her by the nickname "Ash" and has requested them to call her by her full name.

"When I joined the industry, people initially used to say they have difficulty in pronouncing my name, so they started calling me ‘Ash'. But now, it has been years and I guess, everyone can pronounce it properly," Aishwarya said.

"So I would appreciate it if you people address me by my name - Aishwarya," she added.

The model-turned-actress walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra at the ongoing HDIL-India Couture Week in Mumbai and thanked her husband Abhishek for bringing the name issue into focus.


It is believed that Abhishek had recently requested some journalists to refer to Aishwarya by her full name.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was currently spotted at Roberto Cavalli’s 40th fashion anniversary party. As usual she rocked the party.

She was dressed in a silver fish-scaled flapper gown from Cavalli’s Resort 2009 collection.

Much to everyone’s surprise a conspicuous bump on her belly was noticed and this once again led to the rumor of her being pregnant.

What is the main reason behind this? It can either be her good health or it may be that her dress was too figure-hugging.

Endhiran: Father-in-law Big B impressed by daughter-in-law Aishwarya’s look in Robot

The latest buzz in tinsel town is that father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan was totally impressed by bahu daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s look in “Robot” and described her as “smashing”.

“Robot” is the Hindi adaptation of “Endhiran” and stars South demi God Rajnikanth and former Miss World and Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Big B posted a blog stating “Aishwarya looked smashing and danced like she had never danced before. Rajni…what can one say for this man. He is just unbelievable. The film is a roller-coaster ride of fun and ecstasy and events of mammoth proportions.”

He added “”An incredible experience it was and I sincerely urge all those that reside in the world of Chennai to go see it first day first show. Rajni was incredible, Aishwarya was colourful and danced like a dream and content and delivery was simply extraordinary.
